Introduction


Robotics, a dynamic interdisciplinary field, involves the creation, design, and deployment of machines capable of performing tasks autonomously or with human guidance. From factories to homes, and from medical facilities to outer space, robotics has revolutionized how we interact with technology. 

History

The roots of robotics trace back to ancient times when inventors and thinkers imagined automata that could mimic human actions. However, the modern era of robotics began in the mid-20th century. The term "robotics" was introduced by Isaac Asimov in his science fiction stories, and soon after, researchers like George Devol and Joseph Engelberger developed the first industrial robots capable of performing repetitive tasks.
