What the Training Builds

This is practical, do-it-yourself training rather than a lecture series. You build competence in nucleic-acid extraction, PCR, gel electrophoresis, cloning techniques and molecular analysis. Every concept is reinforced with real protocols so the skill transfers directly to a working laboratory.

How the Modules Progress

The curriculum is sequenced so each stage builds on the last:

  1. Lab fundamentals — safety, pipetting, reagents and good practice
  2. Nucleic-acid extraction — genomic DNA, plasmid and RNA
  3. PCR — setup, optimisation, primer logic and RT-PCR
  4. Electrophoresis — agarose separation, sizing and analysis
  5. Cloning — restriction, ligation and transformation
  6. Applied techniques — expression analysis and diagnostics

Techniques You Master

You gain working command of DNA and RNA extraction, conventional and reverse-transcription PCR, agarose gel electrophoresis, restriction digestion, ligation and transformation and nucleic-acid quantification — with exposure to qPCR and sequencing concepts used in modern labs.

PCR & Amplification

A dedicated focus covers PCR end to end — reaction setup, primer design logic, optimisation, troubleshooting and contamination control, plus RT-PCR for RNA targets — the central competency that molecular and diagnostic roles routinely test.

A Practical, Bench-Led Approach

Learning happens by doing. You prepare reagents, run experiments, make and correct mistakes under guidance and repeat until technique is reliable and contamination-free. The goal is reproducible results under real conditions, not recall of definitions.

Online Mode

Online training is delivered remotely with structured tasks, recorded demonstrations, datasets and mentor feedback. It suits learners building design, primer-logic and interpretation skills where bench access is limited.

Offline Mode

Offline training at the lab offers supervised bench practice with real reagents and instruments and immediate correction — the fastest route to genuine technique and confidence at the bench.
